Voyage LA: An Interview

Amy Goldberg has always been drawn to ideas with energy, stories with meaning, and people with something important to share.

As the founder of Push Back Productions, Amy brings together creativity, storytelling and collaboration to develop and produce work that connects with people.

Her strength is seeing the possibility inside an idea, then bringing together the right people, perspectives and creative elements to help bring it to life.

She is a connector.

An integrator.

A storyteller.

A producer who believes the best work happens when curiosity, creativity and human experience come together.

The Work

Amy’s career has moved across many worlds—wellness, media, entertainment, publishing, entrepreneurship and creative development, but the thread has always remained the same:

Creating work that matters.

Through film, editorial, books, podcasts, live experiences and creative collaborations, Amy produces stories and experiences that invite people to think differently, feel deeply and see new possibilities.

She believes ideas have the power to change the way we see ourselves and each other.

And when the right story finds the right audience, something powerful happens.

A conversation begins.

The Journey

Amy’s path has never been traditional.

She began her career in health, fitness and wellness, where she built one of Canada’s early workplace wellness companies and became a recognized voice in the movement toward healthier, more balanced lives.

She brought Spinning to Canada from Los Angeles, created innovative wellness initiatives, and launched the first Joints In Motion Marathon Training program in Ontario for The Arthritis Society, helping raise millions for arthritis research.

Her work has always centered around people—their stories, their challenges, their potential and their ability to create meaningful change.

Over time, storytelling became an even greater part of her journey.

Amy moved into writing, producing, media development and creative projects, combining her love of people, ideas and experiences to create work that inspires connection.

The Connector

At the centre of Amy’s work is connection.

Connecting people to ideas.

Connecting ideas to audiences.

Connecting creativity to possibility.

Amy has a natural ability to see the bigger picture while understanding the details needed to bring something meaningful into existence.

She brings together storytellers, creators, thinkers and collaborators to create work that feels authentic, relevant and alive.

Beyond the Work

Amy believes the life you live influences the stories you create.

Curiosity, movement, nature, travel, art, wellness and adventure have always been part of her creative process.

A lifelong believer in staying active and embracing possibility, Amy is a 15-time marathon runner, including two Boston Marathon finishes.

She has travelled the world for more than three years, exploring cultures, landscapes and experiences that continue to shape how she sees people and storytelling.

From crossing the Soviet Union on the Trans-Siberian Express before the fall of the Berlin Wall, to standing at Camp Reinga in New Zealand where the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean meet, Amy has always followed curiosity wherever it leads.

That same curiosity fuels the work she creates today.

The Belief Behind Push Back Productions

Amy believes the best productions do more than tell stories.

They create connection.

They open conversations.

They inspire imagination.

They remind us that there are always new possibilities waiting to be explored.

Because the stories we tell shape the way we see the world.
