Stuck in the Middle of Me

I want to ask you without sounding like a commercial, or as if I’m trying to sell you something, and yet my style is such that it’s direct with a cut to the chase approach. I’ve never been one for writing flowery descriptive sentences. So here you go …

Are you feeling a little stuck in life? Not sure how to make the most of your days to live a life that excites you? Well, fear not! I'm here to share some thinking on how to lead a more fulfilling and exciting life.

Let’s talk about mindset. Your mindset can make or break your experience of life. If you're constantly thinking negatively or focusing on the things you don't have, you're setting yourself up for a less than ideal experience. Start by shifting your mindset to a more positive one. Try focusing on gratitude and the things you're thankful for in your life. Make a conscious effort to think positively and be kind to yourself.

It's my hope that what I just said you’ll truly consider actioning. It’s making that concerted effort where things will change in your life. Thinking about it isn’t enough. It doesn’t work.

Then there’s goals. Nothing crazy here, and yet setting and working towards goals is a key component of leading your best life. And for sure it helps you to get unstuck. But it's important to make sure your goals are realistic and achievable. I only say that as setting lofty or unrealistic goals tends to set you back where you might decide not to start them in the first place. They may seem too daunting. Start small and work your way up. Whatever it is, make sure it's something achievable and that you'll feel proud of yourself for accomplishing.

Another important aspect of living your best life is taking care of your physical health. This means getting enough sleep, exercising regularly, and eating well. Now, I'm not saying you need to be a gym rat or go on a strict diet. But making small changes like going for a walk every day or swapping out junk food for healthier options can make a big difference in how you feel.

Okay, let's talk about something that's often overlooked when it comes to living your best life: fun! Yes, fun! It's important to make time for the things you enjoy and that bring you joy. Whether it's reading a book, watching a movie, or going out with friends, make sure you're making time for the things that make you happy. Life is way too short to not have fun!

And then there’s relationships. Surrounding yourself with positive and supportive people is crucial when it comes to living your best life. Cut out the toxic people in your life and make room for those who uplift and encourage you. And don't forget to show appreciation for the people in your life who bring you joy and make your days brighter.

I’m sure you’ve heard this many times, any yet it is true - leading a purposeful life matters. This can mean different things for different people. Maybe it's finding a fulfilling career or volunteering for a cause you're passionate about. Whatever it is, find something that gives you a sense of purpose and fulfillment

Taking care of yourself both physically and mentally is crucial when it comes to leading your best life. Make time for yourself and do things that make you feel good. Make sure you're taking care of yourself in a way that feels good to you.

So, there you have it! These are just a few things for you to consider for a second, and then more importantly, action. Remember, it's all about mindset, setting achievable goals, taking care of your physical and mental health, having fun, surrounding yourself with positive people, finding your purpose, and practicing self-care. Ha, after my saying this, it may sound like an overwhelming list, and yet once you start to shift your mindset, you’ll find that there’s a domino effect, where this one positive action will set off a chain reaction of similar positive events. In turn, all other aspects of what you need to lead a fulfilling and exciting life will start to happen.

The only thing getting in your way of leading your best life, is you.

Start living.
